Postcard for Big Bad Con

This was fun! The showrunners for Big Bad Con reached out to me because they wanted some postcards/merch made for the convention of different styles. I pitched them a few ideas at first. A cute picnic scene, some general little sticker designs, and a magical girl-style poster, and the vote was pretty unanimous for the latter.

It was a huge amount of fun to work on. I was a big Sailor Moon fan when I was a kid. Still am, honestly, so drawing something to pay a bit of a homage to that was really dear to me.
Something I wish to work on for future projects is keeping the amount of movement and life in the drawing as it nears completion. I feel that the life within the drawing kind of fades out as it nears completion, which is a crease in my work I plan to work on ironing out.

That said, I'm very happy with the fabric movement in the cape especially, and the general layout and colours of the final piece! I hope the con attendees like is as much as I do!
